Captain’s Log Mobile Application Privacy Statement

This Privacy Policy is for the Captain’s Log app by Pete Lorimer.

Welcome to Captain’s Log! This Privacy Policy is designed to help you understand how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use our iOS app, Captain’s Log (the “App”). By using the App, you consent to the practices described in this policy.

- Captain’s Log allows you to create and maintain information for your own personal use. This data is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted to our servers.
- The App may offer the option to back up your data to your device and iCloud account. We do not access or store your data on our servers. It remains under your control.
- In case you choose to share your log data with the developer for the purpose of resolving an issue, we may collect and store this data only for as long as necessary to address the problem. Once the issue is resolved, this data will be deleted.
3. How We Use Your Information
- We do not access or use your log data for any purpose other than what you specify. It is stored only on your device.
- Sharing Logs with the Developer:
- If you choose to share log data with the developer, it will be used solely for diagnosing and resolving the issue you reported.
4. Security
We take reasonable steps to safeguard your data and maintain its confidentiality. Your data is stored on your device and, if you choose, in your iCloud account.
5. Third-Party Services and Analytics
We do not use any third-party tracking or analytics services in Captain’s Log.
6. Children’s Privacy
Captain’s Log is not directed to individuals under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us, and we will delete it.
7. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. We will notify you of any significant changes via the App or other means.
